An insight into the heart of my photography studio where giggles are captured, cheekiness is frozen in time and wall worthy images are created.

Hindsight is a pain in the neck…. we don’t realise how special those first years are until they are over and we think back and remember how small how little our children are.

The days are long but the years are short

From the moment you step into the Studio its a relaxed and natural environment. A soft and cozy blank canvas is the perfect space for children to feel safe and relaxed. Natural materials and props are hand picked for imagination and playful spirt’s to come alive. Mix this all together with a patient and calm photography style and we have the perfect combination to capture genuine expressions and authentic moments.

Patience is one of the most important elements of having a young child in the studio. Building a connection before the camera even comes out is key. Every child is different and making sure they feel safe and comfortable in the studio will make all the difference, through singing songs, silly noises and play, each session is crafted to meet your child’s needs.

Clothing for a photoshoot:

One of the most frequently asked questions is about clothing and bring what to dress them in for a photoshoot. Thats why I have built up one of the most gorgeous baby wardrobes around. It's full of hand picked knits, comfy rompers and cozy clothing and each item fits in perfectly with the theme of the studio, so actually….. you don’t have to buy anything new or over think about what they have in their wardrobes. It's done for you.

Where is my Children’s Photography Studio:

Jodie Wilson Photography Studio is located just outside of Saffron Walden, Essex in a beautiful hidden gem of Riverside Barns, Ickleton.

There is plenty of parking, a small lake to walk around and feed the ducks or Canadian geese - after your photoshoot you will receive a small bag of duck food to enjoy. There is a wooden play frame, slide and swings.
