A comfortable space for you so have some beautiful photographs of your new baby.
What to expect:
When you arrive everything will be ready to go. I have outfits, blankets and accessories. You can choose your favourites and we can create a beautiful warm gallery.
You wont need to bring anything with you unless there is a special outfit/blanket or teddy you would like to have included in the photos. A teddy is a really nice way to see how much your baby is growing and a really nice touch if you include the same teddy in a sitter session or a 1st birthday session.
The session will take up to 2 hours, this allows for feeding, comfort cuddles, nappy changes and outfit changes.
If you baby takes a dummy then please bring it along…. it really helps with soothing when baby is being moved around a lot.
After your session I will take a few weeks to edit your images, this means any thing that should not be there I will edit out. (red marks, scratches, milk spot etc. If you would like these natural element to stay then let me know.) You will then be invited back to the studio to have a viewing session, all your newborn photos will be projected on the wall in a musical moving gallery. Additional family members are welcome to come and see too…. just let me know numbers. You can then decide on images, packages, print and frames.
How to prepare baby.
Your baby will lead the photoshoot. I will work with their cues and their comfort levels to make sure its the most peaceful and relaxing time for them too. Make sure they have had as much milk as they can take before the session so that we don’t have to start by feeding. If baby is breast feed then be prepared to feed for comfort or to sleep and if baby is bottle feed then please have a bottle on hand for top ups or comfort through out the photoshoot. I have hot water to heat a bottle.
What to wear.
What should we know about the products in your store? If you are going to be in the photos with baby then here is a little guide on what would look amazing in the studio….. Start with yourself - By starting with your outfit, you can then match everyone else to you. Try not to have every one in the same colour but have complimenting colours. If it helps, lay all your clothing out on the floor and see how it looks together..... you can send me the picture for a second opinion.
My studio is cream, so colours I would recommend that will look great in this setting are “colours of the earth” for example:

A loosefitting, pretty dress is so versatile! It looks great, it flutters with the movement of children, its flexable and lays in all the right place and looks nice on any body! Treat your self.... if you feel good you will look good!
I have a couple of dresses in my client closet that would look great in the studio. you can wear one to create some extra colour or save your self from having to buy an extra outfit for the photoshoot.

There is ample free parking and a little play area for siblings.
Toilets, including disabled access are on site. I will supply you with tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks ( I also have snacks for little ones - any dietary requirement then please let me know). There is also a cafe for any extra needs.
